Description

The Curbs started as a band called Nothing Sacred, and morphed into The Curbs after an initial line up change back in high school.

Since 1991, the core of The Curbs have been Aaron, Ranu, and Kevin. Over the years, Johnny, Mike, Dover, and Steve played guitars, with Steve picking up in the middle years and staying through the transition from The Curbs into The Obsessors.

Over the years, we recorded many times, but sometimes lacked funds to release the songs on Aaron's record label - Brain Dart Records.

We’ve put together many of the unreleased songs from various recordings over the years and combined them with a full unreleased album that was recorded shortly before our transition into The Obsessors.

The songs on this album span the years 1991-2003 and give you an idea of how we changed (and didn’t) over the years.

Aaron was our song writer. The Curbs was Aaron, and Aaron was the Curbs - the rest of us added our flavor and personality, but when I think of The Curbs, I think of Aaron.

The Curbs were family (both metaphorical and literal), and we cherish our time spent in garages, vans, studios, and around kitchen tables.

The Unsinkable image on the front of this album was drawn by Aaron, who drew 99% of our art throughout the years. His drive, artistic talent, and song writing talent kept The Curbs going for over 20 years, and lasted another decade with The Obsessors.

This album is dedicated to Aaron. You’re forever remembered as a husband, father, bandmate, and friend. We fucking love you, man. We fucking love you! You live on in our hearts and minds!! Curbs never die!
