The Path of Gloss We Fear Not Walk is an album that strives for tenacity amid the pitfalls of reality. More than any other project I have put out, it is true to my experience. I did my damndest to capture the feelings I felt in the spaces between broke & up, happy & sad, euphoria & dysphoria, and hopeful & despondent. As it was for many, 2022 was a tumultuous year for me, and making this project felt necessary to keep myself grounded through it. At times it was a safe space that I could escape to, and at others I barely wanted to listen to it because it was too close to a reality that I was uncomfortable in, because above all it was built on honesty. In making these songs I spoke to my individuality with the recognition that I am, and my story is, one of many that makes up a whole, and that it is the relatability, the sharedness of our experience, that makes it tangible, that makes it real. To everyone who listens to this album, I hope you are able to see yourself in me the way I have seen myself in you. We all walk the path, and we all must find our individual gloss to strive for.
