Description

FOUR! was one of Denver's favorite Punk bands in the mid 90's. If you went to any punk shows in Denver you were bound to have seen FOUR! sharing the stage with the likes of Reel Big Fish, AFI, Propagandhi, The Aquabats, Less Than Jake, Swinging Utters, The Queers, Against All Authority, T.S.O.L./Joykiller, Rancid, Suicide Machines, The Rudiments, F.Y.P, Link 80, Skankin' Pickle, Youth Brigade, No Use for a Name, Citizen Fish/Subhumans, and many other bands. Their sound epitomized the angst and energy of the 90's skateboarding and punk rock scene. FOUR! has a song about police violence called "Bakin' Nut" and the group was part of a historical riot at a VFW in Denver, CO, known as the Propaghandi VFW Riot, at which police tried to shut down the show and ended up in a violent face to face conflict with Denver punks. Kids being beaten by police officers in riot gear, thrown down stairs, dragged by their hair, kicked and maced. Police cars with broken windows chairs flying and punks running wild in the streets...that was the scene and this is the soundtrack. Split Label with Ratgirl Records and Red Ear Records. Limited to 50 copies.
