Seriously? That was like over a decade ago!

Yeah, we know. But sometimes you have to go back to go forward.

In 1995, Louie, Stu, and Stan started The Ovalteens as a complete joke. By cross-breading Surf and Ska music, they unwittingly unleashed one of the catchiest and undeniably enjoyable brands of instrumental music known to man. The day after their first practice, they played their first show...in the middle of the Las Vegas desert. And the rest is history.

The Ovalteens started life with the unyielding motto of "No Vocals, No Bass, No Bullshit." Over time (like, a few months), their unyielding motto yielded and Norbert "Black Dwarf" Bibeault joined the gang on bass. After playing dozens of unforgettable shows and recording their first (and only) full-length CD, "The Ovalteens Vs. The Silver Hawaiian," Norbert left the band to pursue a blossoming career in professional rock, paper, scissors.

Undaunted and undeterred, The 'teens continued their onslaught. Expanding their touring into neighboring California, there were more shows and more recordings. In need of further assistance, the Ovalteens recruited keyboard wizard, Ass Master Flash. But, like all things, the ruling age of the Ovalteens soon came to an end. Other bands, other interests, and life in general eventually overtook the fearless group. Their sounds and antics went dormant and hidden deep within the caverns of time.

The is...until now.

We're re-releasing our first (and only) album now because...well, because what the hell! What you hold in your hands is the most complete collection of The Ovalteens' music known to exist. In addition to the album, we've taken this chance to share with you some of our finest lesser-known moments; our last EP, some selections from the Ska Parade Radio Show, and various four-track gems. We hope you enjoy this little time pod and have as much fun listening to it as we did making it all in the first place. And, hey, if you like it, feel free to stop by our website and let us know.
