CASTLE finds 18 year old Lucas Lex isolated, desolate in a dungeon of emotion, angst, and expectation. The sound of Lex’s horror is filtered through a 21st century rock sound and dusted with hyperpop and PC Music flair. Throughout the EP, Lex utilizes late 2010s web series Petscop and gothic horror video game Castlevania as reference points instead of musical forebears like The Strokes or contemporaries like Osquinn. CASTLE was self-produced by Lucas Lex, a multi- instrumentalist, vocalist, and design savant.
